DRONE Project: Teacher & school leaders training to promote Digital liteRacy and combat the spread of disinfOrmation among vulNerable groups of adolEscents.
DRONE Project is a an EU-funded initiative dedicated to enhancing digital literacy and critical thinking among young people, especially those from vulnerable groups. The DRONE Project aims to equip school leaders, teachers and parents with the tools and knowledge needed to combat the spread of misinformation and disinformation online. DRONE offers training, resources, and a network to create a more informed future.
In today’s digital age, false information spreads rapidly and can lead to serious consequences. By promoting digital literacy and critical thinking skills in schools and communities, the DRONE Project helps create a well-informed, resilient society that values truth and democratic principles.
DRONES works with several key groups to fight disinformation:
Schools: Equipping teachers with resources for digital literacy education.
Students (11-18): Building critical thinking skills to evaluate information online.
Parents & Guardians: Supporting you in guiding your children’s online behavior.
Policymakers: Working together for effective anti-disinformation policies.
DRONES fights disinformation in Europe with a four-pronged approach:
Identifying Gaps: We pinpoint areas lacking digital literacy education.
Building Resources: We create training materials for educators & students.
Widespread Training: We deliver large-scale training programs across Europe.
Long-Term Impact: We develop sustainable solutions to keep fighting disinformation.
